Upgrade Needed
—a poem by Ivan Jenson

I am not able
to get
a connection
in this place
I tried to log
on with a few
people but
I didn't know
the passwords
needed to get
their attention
now I must
recharge
my confidence
so that I can
get on the
right sound cloud
but right now
everyone is
staring at the
world in their
hands
and I am
like my flip phone
technologically
and emotionally
obsolete
